Victorian Sterling Silver Cloak Brooches - Sterling Silver Equestrian Horse and Rider Brooch Pair
This pair of Victorian equestrian cloak Brooches is an excellent example of late Victorian British Sterling Silver jewellery. The design on each one features a person on horseback; a man with a curled hunting horn on one and a woman riding side-saddle in a tricorn hat on the other. A pair of cloak pins which were probably originally joined by a silver chain as there is a loop on the bottom of each brooch. The connecting chain is no longer with them but should you wish to wear these brooches as a cloak pin it could be easily restored. The Brooches are made of cast sterling silver and each is clearly hallmarked to the front with the makers mark of BM and the Chester Assay Mark with the year mark for 1901. Each circular brooch is about one inch In diameter and there is a £1 coin in one of the pictures to help you gauge the size. Both silver brooches are in excellent condition and fasten with a silver “c” shaped guard over the long pin. The price is for both Brooches
