Art Deco Hat Band Ornament - Celluloid and Diamante Slide Buckle - French Costume Accessory

Art Deco accessories of this quality are getting harder  to find; after all they are now genuine antiques! This is a slide type buckle or ornament which is gently  curving in shape and solid and robust.  It is French and dates from the period circa 1915 - 1930. This piece of jewellery is a very useful enhancement to your vintage wardrobe, perfect to accompany  a Roaring Twenties Dress or great to add to a collection of early plastics.  This black buckle is made of the plastic Celluloid and it is enhanced with inset white diamanté glass faceted jewels, silver metal pins and white decorative lines.  The design is typically Art Deco and has all the glitz and glamour associated with good design from France.  It is simple to just slide a piece of ribbon, or even a hat band into this buckle and it is ready to adorn and decorate.  It would look stunning on a cloche hat of the Art Deco period but would also work as a belt adornment too.  Size is 6 cms by 3cms approximately and the celluloid and diamante slide buckle is in excellent condition.
