SOLD Vintage Hats - Lea Stein Hat Brooches - Vintage 1980s Hat Pins - Set of Two

Here are two very unusual 3-D  hat brooches from the French Designer Lea Stein.  These Fabulous Chapeaux are Vintage tiny brooches dating to around the 1980s.  In the past I have sold Lea Stein’s  Hat and Cane brooches but have not seen these two before.  A friend brought them back from a Brocante in France and I found them irresistible!  They are being sold here as a pair and can be worn individually or together to make more of a statement look.  One of these hat brooches is a wide-brimmed picture hat with a hat band and bow in shades of navy blue and white. The second is a bowler type style with turned brim, black band and a deep top in green, red and white colours.  These designer brooches are both made from cellulose acetate or Rhodoid and as such are very light and easy to wear.  The Navy and White Picture Hat brooch measures around 4cm in diameter and the chunky Bowler Hat just around 3cm in diameter. Shown in photos with a one pound coin to help you gauge the size.   Both have the traditional Lea Stein pin back with a roll-over type fastener.  Each piece is signed - 'Lea Stein, Paris'. These are true vintage designs from Lea Stein who is famed for her jewellery, particularly her animal designs which have featured cats, foxes, dogs, birds and many other quirky and interesting things over her history.
