SOLD 1920's Green Celluloid Hairslide set with Diamanté - French Art Deco
Hair-slides, clips and hairpins from the 1920s are desirable as they are now genuine antiques. It was very fashionable back in the roaring twenties to wear a sparkly hair slide in your bobbed hair do! This vintage hair grip is made from the early Plastic Celluloid and it would have been intended to have a Jade like appearance being marbled green with cream. The hair slide measures 3.25 inches from outer edge to outer edge and is half an inch in width. This Art Deco beauty is most likely French as it has inset glass diamond jewels in four rows to decorate it - and also has tiny metal pins for added sparkle. The shape is slightly curved and to the back is a set in brass hair pin closure shutting on a ball grip closure. This 1920s hair slide is in very good condition. A perfect slide to wear or as an addition to a collection of vintage fashion accessories from the Art Deco era or lovely for your collection of Bakelite era plastics.
