Retro Art Deco Cat Brooch - Cat Pin by Lea Stein of Paris ( sold)

Lea Stein's Cat designs are always so much fun and this one with a revival Art Deco design is no exception.   This Lea Stein cat brooch is chic with it's inlay of real cloth printed with a metallic gold cloud design on a yellow background. Its a particularly stylish brooch because of the fabulous Art Deco gold cloud pattern fabric which has been used to create it. Lea Stein mastered the art of layering cellulose acetate plastics with cloth materials to create special finishes and this brooch shows this technique off to perfection! The cat's face has insets of black for the almond-shaped eyes and the ears. Attila is a wonderful Cat brooch with dainty paws and a tail curving slightly up.  It really does have character. Cat lovers everywhere have great affection for these brooches.     The light nature of the cellulose acetate and the sensible positioning of the back pin ensures that the brooch will sit extremely well ( without flopping forwards) and that it is suitable to wear on lighter fabric garments as well as the lapel of a winter coat.  This gorgeous cat brooch measures 4 inches by 1.75 inches approximately.  The pin to the reverse in silver tone, fastens with a secure roll-over type clasp and bears the all important 'Lea Stein Paris' signature.  The reverse of the brooch is in black.
