Leaf Shape Hat Pin - Art Deco French Celluloid - for A Cloche Hat - Flapper Hat Flash

Here is a lovely leaf shaped hat pin, hat trim or as they were known “hat flash” from France. It’s easy to see that it dates from the stylish Art Deco period (1920s - 1930s).  It is made of the early plastic Celluloid.  This hat pin trim has a simple, curved design with loads of shiny inset diamanté and silver pins all used to create the lines on a leaf. This Art Deco hat flash was made to adorn a flapper cloche type hat but is super wearable on any hat or, if a little guard end was used, in a lapel too. The actual shape of the hat pin is a long pointed leaf which is mounted on a strong metal pin to ensure it will sit well when in use on a hat. This fashionable hat trim measures 8cm by 2.5cms and is in great vintage condition.
