1920's/1930's Sew-on for a Cloche Hat - Black with Diamante.

This is a super example of a 'Hat Flash' or sew-on ornament for a cloche hat.  Made in the Art Deco period, this has all the style you would expect.  It is black celluloid with a cut out design set with lots of sparkly diamante and tiny silver studs. It is most likely French, as many chic accessories and jewels from this era were made there using tiny pins and inset paste for decoration.  To enable it to be stitched onto your hat it has two little holes in the middle of the tapered tail. This decoration measures approximately 3cms at its widest point to .25 of a cm at its narrowest and is a long 15cms from the top to the tip.  Because of the length of this accessory it would probably work as a hair ornament too, poked chopstick style into a bun.  It is in excellent condition and is ready to be used on your millinary or treasured as part of your vintage wardrobe collection.
