This gold tone Vintage Necklace is likely to be American in origin and it dates from the late 1950's to the early 1960's and is a very pretty design. There are five jewelled flowers on leafy stems with more foliage and a few other little blue crystals too. Each flower is made up of 5 dark blue faux sapphires and one light blue faux sapphire in the centre. The gold plating is soft in colour and although this is quite a bold vintage necklace it remains very feminine due to the open work with the flowers and leaves. This vintage costume jewellery necklace finishes in a linked chain with a shaped drop and hook closure. It is approx 17 inches in total length( including the hook and drop ) with a 2 inch adjuster allowing it to be worn as a 15 inch choker or to a full 16.5 inches to give a slightly longer necklace. In excellent condition the necklace is about one inch wide on the decorative floral panel.
