This is a useful bead necklace. The faceted glass beads have been coated with a metalic finish so that they glow bronze or black with a Tiffany type lustre. The black beads have that great 'oil on water' effect where you can see greens, blues, purples and silvers all shining away as the necklace catches the light. The beads included are either oval and round in shape and are spaced by tiny seed beads to give the necklace a more defined look. The length is 21 inches which includes the 2 inch length of chained beads allowing for variety in fastening length. You simply hook them in place. I would guess they are Austrian or Czech in origin and would be from the 1950s or 1960s in date.
