Art Deco Brooch - Terrier Dog by Charles Horner

Here we have a great brooch from the art deco era circa 1940.  This is a Charles Horner Brooch and is one of many designs produced in their factory in Halifax.  This terrior dog pin is made up of a chromed metal brooch bar in the form of a riding crop with a strap and buckle connecting to an open horseshoe shaped frame on which sits the head of a terrier.  The dog's head is made out of early plastic and is coloured silver with a red collar and black nose and eyes.    This vintage brooch is in mint condition.  The terrier's head is 2 by 2.5 cms and the riding crop bar pin is 4.5 cms in length.  The brooch has a drop of 6cms in total. This collectable Charles Horner brooch fastens with a wide 'c' shape pin retainer.
