Xmas Rose Brooch 1960's Flower of the Month Pin for December Signed Exquisite (SOLD)
A 1960s brooch from the English "Exquisite" brand is on offer here. This collectable vintage brooch is the December Flower of the Month - The Christmas Rose. This Brooch is made from a base metal finished in hand painted cold enamel paints. The brooch has two open flower heads, each with five petals in creamy white with a cluster of realistic yellow tipped stamens and five bright green leaves. All this cold enamel work is on a gold-tone background. This brooch is particularly desirable for collectors as it is offered in mint condition on its original display pad. The pad is constructed from a polythene type plastic with the Exquisite crown trademark and Exquisite brand clearly printed on it. So we have the wording "An "Exquisite" Creation to the top left hand side of the card and the flower type "Xmas Rose" at the lower right corner of the display card with the word "December" Central at the bottom. This brooch is a good size measuring almost 3 inches by 2 inches. To the reverse it is marked EXQUISITE and has the letters REGD. to show that the makers had taken the trouble to register their designs to prevent other jewellery manufacturers from copying their original work. This vintage 1960s original floral brooch fastens with a guarded rollover type clasp.
