Vintage Scarf Clip or Scarf Ring - Gold plated metal stylised flower

Scarf clips are not only jewellery with a purpose but they can also can add a touch of drama to your scarf!  Here we have a stylised flower design consisting of a raised gold plated middle with flared work around.  It almost has the effect of movement - like a Catherine Wheel firework.  In the centre there is an abstract six petal flower with raised work and piercing and then flowing fronds around it with more pierced designs. The subtle open work allows the block colour of the scarf to show through.  To the reverse there is a good, firm clip device to hold the scarf.  This golden petals and leaves scarf clip dates to between  the 1970s and 1980s. It has a gold plated finish, is in excellent condition and measures 4.5 cms in diameter.
