Vintage Miracle Scarf Ring - Jewel set (Sold)
Here we have a vintage signed Miracle scarf ring or scarf toggle. This is a pretty design in a pewter-tone finish with six forked metal rays and seven round glass cabochon jewels. There is one larger central jewel in a striped finish with orange through red and grey and black, a lot like an agate or banded carnelian. Each of the six smaller stones surrounding it are imitations of natural hard-stones. There is a green striped faux malachite and a soft green jewel which is faux Connemara marble, a dark blue faux lapiz lazuli with realistic goldstone copper inclusions, a striped purple faux amethyst and another coffee and white coloured imitation agate. Very effective and reminiscent of the so called 'Pebble' jewellery so loved by Queen Victoria . Miracle jewellery has its own following and there is a collectors society here in the UK. This vintage scarf ornament functions by sliding your scarf through the figure of eight rings and knotting the scarf tails in place. This distinctive scarf ornament measures 3.5 cms in diameter This scarf slide is in excellent condition and has the all important Miracle signature to the reverse. I would estimate that this scarf ring dates to the 1970s.
