Vintage Limoges Oval Ceramic Brooch (sold)

This is a faded floral ceramic brooch which is mounted in a gilded brass gallery.  The oval ceramic piece measures approx 2 inches by 1.5 inches and is marked 'Made in France' 'Limoges'  in green lettering on the reverse of the ceramic.  The brooch has a rope twist gilt border and depicts roses in pinks with a faded blue flower and some green leaves around.  It looks as if it has been hand finished onto a transfer printed design.  The pin on the reverse fastens into a old fashioned twist and pull type french clasp and I would estimate that this brooch dates from the 1940s or 1950s.
