Vintage Gilt Bracelet with Watermelon Crystals (SOLD)

Five amazing 'watermelon' crystal gems decorate this vintage bracelet to great effect.  The facet cut stones glow with shades of green, purple, pink and gold - hence the name 'watermelon' because of the colours.  These huge gems ( each one is around 1.5cms in diameter ) have silvered backs to enhance their sparkle effect and each crystal is collar set onto a gilt metal panel bracelet.   The metal part of this bracelet is decorated and the chain has a decorative dropper to finish it nicely.  The bracelet is unsigned but has all the quality of a designer item.  Indeed it was Schiaparelli who first used watermelon colour Austrian crystals in her fabulous jewels in the late 1930s and early 1940's.  Placed flat this delightful bracelet measures 9 inches in total - 6 inches for the decorated panels and a further 3 inches for the chain fastening allowing it to fit most wrist sizes with a choice of lengths. This vintage bracelet is in excellent condition.
