Vintage Galleon Brooch
Here we have a super vintage faux marcasite Galleon pin. This vintage brooch is a ship on the sea with its sails billowing in the wind! Finished in chrome, these pressed metal brooches were produced in England by the famous Charles Horner company and were one of their fancy lines of costume jewellery in the late 1940's through the 1950's and into the 1960's. Originally cheap and cheerful they are now becoming increasingly hard to find and costume jewellery collectors love them. They are light in weight so are incredibly easy to wear on any fabric. The Company produced birds, animals, ships, figurals, crowns, people, butterflies and many other quirky designs. The vintage galleon brooch measures approx 1 inch by 1.5 inches and is ready to wear. This vintage brooch would be perfect on your boating blazer or would add a jaunty, nautical touch to any outfit!
