Vintage Austrian Crystal Necklace and Earclips - late 1950's/Early 1960's (SOLD)
This vintage jewellery parure consists or a fabulous triple row of faceted irridised Austrian crystal beads which shimmer and sparkle with hints of pink, green, mauve and blue. Each of the rows is graduated from a central bead with a diameter of approximately 1.5cms down to the smallest faceted crystal which is around 1 cm in diameter; there are crystal bugle beads between each of the faceted lead glass beads. The necklace finishes in a silvertone 'push' in type clasp which has one large and eight smaller Austrian crystal stones in pink shades in the form of a flower. This necklace was sold to me with the accompanying earrings which, although not an exact match, are pretty stunning when worn together. In the antique trade we called two such items which go well together a 'marriage'! The earrings have an assortment of faceted Austrian crystal and white faux pearls with just one crystal dangling for effect. The earrings are approximately 2.5cms in diameter and are clip on style with a goldtone backing.
