Vintage American Brooch - Lucite Leaves Pin signed 'Coro' (Sold)

Perfect for Autumn and super for collectors of Lucite jewellery this American vintage brooch is full of style.  From the famous jewellery makers 'Coro' this brooch dates from the late 1950s to the early 1960s and is sophisticated with a very clever design.  The vintage brooch has a goldtone frame in the shape of a large leaf. The design fills the large leaf outline with 11 smaller leaves in a delicious shade of moonglow beige.  The small leaves are perfectly formed in acrylic lucite.  This vintage brooch is in excellent condition.  The all important 'Coro' signature is hard to see on the reverse but it is there along with a copyright mark in the form of a c within a circle to show that the design was protected to prevent other jewellery makers from copying it .  The leaf brooch has a wishbone shaped bar holding the pin and it fastens with a secure roll over type clasp.  This vintage Coro Brooch is a good size having a length and width of approximately 2.75 inches.  Perfect for the lapel of a coat or jacket or just the job to 'jolly up' a plain fitted 1960s frock.
