Trifari Designer 1970s Gold Statement Necklace with Poured Glass in Amber and Green
This is a fantastic gold plated and poured glass necklace by the USA designer house of Trifari. Here we have a gold plated statement necklace in a modernist design. Dating to the early 1970s era the necklace has a huge circle pendant with a bark textured surface and golden ball dètail. Connected to a doubled engraved large link chain is a golden circle. This circle has a “slice” cut out and the remaining 11 slices are set with irregular poured Glass shapes in amber and green colours. There appears to be a Chanel influence as Chanel often used poured glass from the house of Gripoix in her costume jewellery. The effect is like stained glass windows. There is the Trifari signature on the reverse which is also beautifully finished in a textured pattern. Measuring approximately 16 inches in total length and with the circle part being 3.25 inches in diameter this is a striking high quality necklace. One photo shows the necklace with a £1 coin to allow you to see the size. Offered In very good condition this vintage necklace fastens with a bolt ring clasp.
