Sterling Silver Floral Earrings - Vitnage Clip On style (SOLD)
I would guess that this pair of sterling silver ear clips are Scandinavian but I have been unable to verify the maker's mark which is a circle simply sectioned into 6 with the use of a line. These vintage floral earrings are also marked with the sterling silver fineness - '925'. The show a bunch of daisy like flowers with leaves. They are a most appealing pair of silver earrings and would be great to wear with a vintage summer frock. It is plain to see that they have been hand-made as there are subtle variations in the shapes and sizes of the leaves and flowers. On very close examination you will see that they are not perfect mirror copies of one another, they have each been created to be unique - a feature of a piece hand made by a silvesmith rather than mass produced. I would think that this pretty pair of silver earrings would date to the 1960s. They are in very good condition, with secure clips. Measuring just 2 cms by 1.5 cms they are super little floral miniatures!
