Sold Hippo Brooch signed "Attwood and Sawyer" - Gold Plated Hippopotamus Pin

A vintage jewelled Hippo pin is on offer here.  The Hippopotamus brooch is from the British jewellery house of  Attwood and Sawyer and has the signature "A & S " mark to the reverse. The brooch is gold plated and is set with a myriad of glass crystal diamante jewels. Attwood and Sawyer made fabulous animal and bird jewellery in their ranges and I would estimate that this little fella dates to circa 1980.  This Hippo has a cheeky expression and will certainly cheer up any lapel!. The pin to the reverse of the brooch closes in a secure roll-over clasp. Measurements are 5cms by 3cms approx. This collectable vintage brooch is in excellent condition.
