SOLD 1970s Ivorine Disc Bead Necklace - Reminiscent of Lea Stein’s Collars

This pop art style necklace has all the elements that are looked for in collectible plastic jewellery - it just lacks a designer reference! It is well made and is in great condition. In looks it is very like the disc beads and buttons  created by Lea Stein but I think it is by another manufacturer. Anyway it is a lovely and most wearable collar.  The disc beads are cream and have lines and striations in them to imitate ivory. They have the gloss of white chocolate buttons - and as is often said about jewellery they are definitely neck candy!  The largest central round flat beads, of which there are five, are 3cms in diameter, with the next six being 2cms and the remaining 20 being 1.5cms. This ivory cream bead necklace has been graduated in an overlapping manner throughout.  Fastening with a plastic barrel roll clasp this necklace measures about 16.5 inches so is small or choker sized to wear and it sits beautifully. This pop art style necklace would be a super addition to a collection of early plastics and bakelite jewelry and would appeal to anyone who collects interesting beads.  It would match Lea Steins brooch range really well too!
