Scarf Ring-1950s Aluminium - Rose Scarf Clip - Silver tone
Here we have a pretty vintage circular scarf ring in the shape of a rose. The silver coloured open rose flower is in 3-D and has blackened detail to enhance all the petals and shape . The scarf clip has a ring back and is made of silver tone anodised aluminium which is extremely light so very suitable for the purpose. Measuring a little over 1.25 inches in diameter this scarf clip is in excellent condition. A nice gift for any one named Rose or a lovely treat for a flower loving friend.
Aluminium metal was first used in jewellery manufacture in the Victorian era and it was commercially in use for other things too during the 1860's. Boxes, jewellery and other tiny objects made from it were featured in the Paris Expositon Universelle for the first time in 1855. It also became a popular material for costume jewellery just after World War two and is often found used for necklace chains and bracelets in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
