Reverse Carved Lucite Brooch 1950s with Kalidescope Flower Design (Sold)
This 1950s lucite brooch consists of a floral design on a floral shape. There is a wonderful kalidescope effect achieved by the deep carving on the brooch. To the centre there is an open Hisbiscus type flower in soft mauve with a dark purple centre and a little stamen. Around the edge of the central flower are six perfect variegated leaves in faded moss green and brown. The outer edge of this floral brooch has a design of buds, somewhat like little crocus, in yellow, pink and mauve. The outer edge of this 1950s deep carved Lucite Brooch has been angled to give a reflective rim which adds even more colour and depth to the design. This 1950s collectable floral brooch has a diameter of 4.5cms and is in excellent condition. The pin on the reverse is brass metal with a 'roll over' end.
