Rare Erstwilder Brooch - AN-TEA-CHINUS “Mouse in a tea cup”

Here we have a rare edition brooch or pin made in resin plastic from the famous Erstwilder Jewellery company based in Melbourne, Australia. One of a very short run of under 1000 pins released in 2018 and produced for The Australiana collection. This group  is made up of nine resin brooches of Australia's native flora and fauna, and like all Erstwilder jewellery, have been designed by skilled artists in Melbourne and handmade from layered resin. This vintage style 3-D marsupial mouse sitting in a tea cup could be just your cup of tea!   The Antechinus is a big footed mouse and this cute, brown, bright-eyed creature  with his little pink ears and pink button nose is a delight! Fabulous fantasy with a mouse in a pink tea cup decorated with roses - how charming! So could there be inspiration from Alice in Wonderland and The Dormouse or is it just the play on this marsupial's species? Only the creator Elena Leong who dreamed up this brooch knows the answer.  Anything with 'tea' in is to be enjoyed! Here we have the brooch for those who love tiny animals, tea and whimsy!  This sweet pin measures 6.5cms by 5.5cms.  This brooch fastens with a white metal pin guarded by a 'c' shaped roll over closure.There is an impressed Erstwilder bird logo on the reverse. The brooch comes with a teapot tag in a classic Erstwilder round hat box presentation case.  Inside the lid is the following description:
