On hold 1940s Lucite Brooch with Handpainted Flower Decoration
1940s brooches were often hand-made and this one is a lovely example. The 1940s lucite brooch consists of a floral design which has been beautifully painted on a hexagon of pale green lucite. The flowers are quite niaive in style; there are two large yellow 'sunflower' type blooms, four smaller red poppy type blooms and leaves in green and two stalks of golden wheat. The border on this brooch is painted dashes. The 1940s lucite brooch has a diameter of 4cms and is in very good condition. The pin on the reverse is brass metal with a guarded end.
