Old Carved Bone Narcissis Flower Brooch - 1930s onwards

 Two hand carved Narsissis blooms make this little brooch so delightful!  A reminder of spring time with each six petalled flower head finished in superb detail - from the carving and shaping of the flowers to the hand painted colour. These kind of hand carved flower brooches were gifts and souvenirs taken home from Austria, Switzerland and The Black Forest where they were made.  They were popular with tourists and generally date from around the 1930s to the 1960's.  This nice example measures just 1.5cms by 3.5 cms and fastens with an old fashioned 'c' type clasp.  It is in very good order and would make a precious gift or a good addition to your vintage costume brooches collection.
