This is a Sterling Silver Brooch , Pin or Badge in the design of the Naval Crown. Made by Page of Plymouth, this silver brooch dates to the first year of World War Two - 1939. Fully Hallmarked in Birmingham this brooch also the makers mark which is 'Page of Plymouth'. This vintage silver brooch is in excellent condition, it measures 3 cms by 2 cms , it fastens with a 'c' type clasp.
The Navy Crown was first used in Roman times and it depicts ship's sails and sterns cleverly arranged in a crown shape. This cast silver version is extremely detailed.
