Mother of Pearl Tie Clip - Vintage Stratton 1960s - Gold Plated
Here is a neat and nifty tie clip to adorn a skinny 'Mod' era tie. There is a strong Art Deco revival style to this tie accessory. The tie clip is base metal finished with gold plating and has decorative panels of natural mother of pearl
inset on to it. It measures just 4cms in length and is just under 1cms wide at its widest point at the widest tapered end. This vintage tie clip fastens with a hinged clip with ratchet gripper, known as a 'Nippy Clip'. It is marked with the words
'Nippyclip' 'Made in England - imitation ' and these are clues to its brand and its composition. It is definitely a Stratton tie clip and would make a super gift for anyone who favours the skinny tie look from the past. Offered in good order it would be a great tie pin to add to a collection of vintage novelty tie accessories. This vintage Stratton tie pin dates to the 1960s.
