Miracle Brooch and Matching Earrings - Demi parure - Vintage
It is really nice to offer a Miracle brooch with a pair of matching earrings. Here is a sweet brooch set with a group of glass jewels, all imitating natural polished gemstones. The brooch has a 3-D effect and is made in four distinct layers. Layer one is a pewter coloured metal surround with a chased decoration and set with five glass cabochon jewels that imitate marble. Layer two consists of five individual half moon shaped glass jewels one like a real turquoise, one imitating black onyx, the other three like agates: a banded one, a green one and a red carnelian. The next layer is a band of metal chased and decorated with flowers, leaves and buds in a pattern reminiscent of Tudor designs. Then central and on top is a larger green glass marbled jewel. The brooch is in Excellent condition and fastens with a guarded 'c' type clasp. Size of the brooch is 4 cms in diameter and it is marked with the Miracle signature. Matching this are a lovely pair of clip on earrings both signed Miracle too. They are set with a faux turquoise, faux banded agate and what appears to be a real green Connemara Marble Round cabouchon. These earrings are also in excellent order and benefit from a pewter grey metallic finish and chased border design. They are an interesting almost heart-like shape. Measurements for the earrings are 3 cms by 2.5 cms at their longest and widest sides.
