MABEL - Victorian Silver Name Pin - Hallmarked Chester 1899 (SOLD)

This is a lovely example of an English antique silver name pin with the name MABEL.  The brooch has a fancy bar shape with applied block capital letters spelling our the name and some engraved borders and lines. This Victorian name brooch has the makers marks 'W.B.s.' part of the lion passant mark to show that it is Sterling Silver and the Chester mark with the letter 'Q' indicating it was assayed there in 1899.   Measuring approximately 1.75 inches by .75 of an inch and fastening with an old style 'c' type clasp,  this Victorian name brooch is in very good condition.
