Japanese Faux Ivory Celluloid Bangle with Floral decoration 1920s to 1950s(SOLD)
This is a slim Celluloid bangle with lots of very detailed flower designs all over it. Two Chrysanthemums , a Peony, Three Cabbage Roses lots of cheerful open Daisies and even a Lily of the Valley appear on this great bracelet. The Ivory colour is a buttery cream which enhances the carved and moulded floral pattern. Measuring only half an inch in width, the bangle has an inner diameter of 2.5 inches across approx, making it suitable for a small to medium wrist and hand. These amazing bangles were mostly made in Japan to imitate carved Ivory and have now become very collectable and increasingly difficult to find. They look delightful worn grouped together or with old bakelite bangles just the thing for your vintage wardrobe or early plastic collection.
