Golf Tie Tack or Tie Pin. The 19th Hole! Fun Cocktall Glass and Flag Vintage Tie-pin
Vintage tie pins with sporting interest are always make great gifts! Here we have a cocktail glass with a flag with the number 19 on it. The cocktail glass and pennant flag are made of rhodium coated sterling silver and there is the tiniest hallmark on the base of the glass but it is extremely difficult to make it out even with a jeweller's loupe. The tie pin retainer is a 'twist and pull' device with a chain and bar retainer. The retainer is white metal finish but is made of brass with a rhodium coating and the word 'brass' appears on it. This is just the kind of quirky tie pin that would amuse a keen golfer who likes nothing better than to relax at the bar after a good round of golf. The cocktail theme would also make this a very suitable gift for a lady. This tiepin is offered in the original case with the brand of 'country club' marked inside the box and the original paper 'Sterling Silver' label. The black presentation box has a cream silk type lining but there are one or two tiny marks on the lining...but it is vintage and has been around a little while! The tie-tack is in excellent condition and measures 1.5 cms by 1 cm approximately.
