German Art Deco Diamante Bracelet circa 1930s (SOLD)

Vintage diamante bracelets of this quality are hard to find and this super diamante panel bracelet will not disappoint.  It would be right to describe this gorgeous Art Deco bracelet as a little piece of perfect engineering.  Every link on the bracelet moves smoothly and is intricately connected to the next making it very comfortable to wear.  Every diamante crystal jewel has been 'channel' set; this is where two bands of metal hold the jewels in place. It is impossible to lose a stone.  This type of intricate setting was often the method of choice for holding precious diamonds in place in platinum. On this deco bracelet the metal is rhodium plated and it is enhanced by engraved decoration on the edges.  The whole piece justs speaks and it says 'I am a great example of the best quality costume jewellery made in the 1930s  Art Deco era'.  This wonderful diamante bracelet could well be the work of the German designer Esha Randel who worked in Germany before WWII, creating jewellery master pieces in the German art deco style. Jewellery made by Randel is of superb quality in its manufacture and is outstanding in its design so is extremely rare and highly sought after. The bracelet is not signed but it has identical engraved patterns to other pieces by Randel that I have sold in the past.  It also has the D.R.G.M. mark along with numbers and a mark which is hard to read.   The numbers appear to be 11 -3525 which could be to do with the registration of the design or could be a pattern or product number. The acronym D.R.G.M. with or without punctuation stands for Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster, meaning that the design or function of an item was officially registered inside all of the Germany states; having started in 1891 the marks were discontinued in the 1950s. Now that is enough about technical stuff !  I will get back to describing this wonderful vintage bracelet!  The length is 7.5 inches when open, slightly less when closed. The width is 12 mms and the depth 3mms.  The bracelet is in very good condition with softly sparkling stones.  The stones have a toned down effect - they are not bling and bright but are more subtle.  The metal is silver tone but has a more platinum effect.  The clasp simply slips and clicks into place and then is hidden by the design when in wear. There are a few tiny wear marks and little teeny dents on the metal on the back which are only to be expected with something of this age but when worn they are not seen and do not detract from this lovely bracelet. Great for collectors of Art Deco jewellery, a wonderful old bracelet for a bride and a stunning example of Art Deco design.  Oh and believe me this  vintage diamante art deco bracelet is even more beautiful than the photos show - you will love it!
