Edwardian to 1920s Glass Crystal Teardrop Earrings with Blue Square Stone(SOLD)

These antique earrings date from the transitional period between the Edwardian era and the 1920's.  Each vintage earring has a clear glass teardrop open set crystal linked to a tiny square open-set blue glass crystal on the original silver plated chain. Originally on ear screw fitments we have put these Edwardian earrings onto brand new sterling silver earwires to make them suitable for pierced ears. The length of these earrings, which is two and three quarter inches, makes them both dramatic and elegant.The earrings are pictured on our life-sized mannekin, Ellie, a retro shop fitting which is perfect for modelling old jewellery!   The tiny touch of blue would make them especially nice for a bride by incorporating the 'something blue' for the wedding into her bridal earrings.
