Celluloid Floral Bangle with Rose Detail Circa 1930's - 50's SOLD

This is a beautiful example of a moulded Celluloid bangle with lots of very detailed flower designs all over it.  The Ivory colour has a pearlised pastel peach and green wash, which enhances the deep floral detail.  Measuring 3cms (1.25 inches) at it's widest point across the large central rose it tapers to some 2 cms ( a little over half an inch) at it's most narrow. The rose celluloid bangle is very slightly ovalled.  This gives a measurement of 6.5 cms across the inside one way and 6.75 cms from front to back the other approx.  It is nice and chunky too, so that it is a little over 8cms on the outside if you measure from the rose at the front to the back of the outside of the bracelet.  These amazing bangles were mostly made in Japan to imitate carved Ivory and have now become very collectable and increasingly difficult to find.
