BABY brooch - Engraved design- Circa 1900 - 1920s - Silver (SOLD)
An unusual silver BABY pin which dates from the first quarter of the 20th Century is on offer here. It is made from silver but doesn't have any hallmark on it. This little silver brooch has been completely engraved to make it decorative. there is the word 'Baby' picked out in block capital letters and then there is a cross hatched pattern of little squares with a dot in their centre. These antique brooches were popular Christening gifts and were worn on baby gowns. The reverse of this silver brooch has a guarded clasp and the pin is brass. This collectable old silver brooch is an elongated oval shape and is in great condition. This pretty and unusual old silver baby brooch measures just over 3.5 cms in length and is about 2 cms at its widest point.
