Art Deco Chrome Dress Clip 1930s to 1940s

This is a very stylish dress clip dating from the late 1930's to the early 1940's.  It is made of  pressed metal with a chromed finish - this was all the rage in the Art Deco period.  The design has one layer of the chromed filigree rope work or 'gurtlering' and has a lovely large raised shaped design in the centre.  It is further enhanced by its 3-D construction. Fastening with a good snappy back clip with claws this dress clip is a most versatile piece of costume jewellery from the Art Deco era. It is in great condition and measures approx 4.5cms top to bottom and about 3.5cms across at its widest points with a rise of just 2cms.
