Art Deco Buckle 1930s diamante jewelled slide buckle designed as stylised bows
Art Deco 1930s simple slide buckles are useful for both belt buckles and for hat bands. This jolly example is designed as four interlinked jewelled bows. The metal is chrome plated and the diamante jewels are cup set in place. This piece of vintage fashion jewellery has some signs of wear on the metal to the reverse. It also has some jewels which have started to turn a champagne colour. For some who love antique pieces that show their age the "champagning"of the stones is seen as an advantage! In general this sparkly slide buckle is in good order and would be perfect for a sewing project to decorate an outfit, or add to a collection of vintage buckles. Measuring 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches this is a decent size and has 68 individual round stones set into the pressed metal.
