Art Deco Brooch - Charles Horner Terrier Dog Pin (sold)

This terrier dog brooch is in typical 1940's style.  The dog's head is made from  a silver coloured early plastic and it sits inside a gilt metal kennel shape which is suspended from a bar pin.  The brooch is the work of the Charles Horner factory which was based in Halifax, England and is best known for its Art Nouveau silver jewellery and iconic hat pins as well as Dorcas thimbles.  This Vintage brooch is in excellent condition with measurements of 1in across the bar pin with a total drop of 2.5 inches.  This vintage brooch fastens with a pin and chunky c type clasp.
