Art Deco Bracelet - Faux Coral Celluloid Roses
This is a gorgeous golden metal and Celluloid bracelet with three very detailed Art Deco Roses and small faux coral beads amongst intricate golden knot work. The Coral colour is a natural pale orange red which enhances the carved and moulded floral pattern. Withe the largest central decorative rose measuring only 1.5 cms the bracelet is delicate as well as stylish. The bracelet measures just seven inches in length approx, making it suitable for a small to medium wrist and hand. These amazing bracelets and bangles were mostly made in Continental Europe and Japan to imitate carved Coral, carved Ivory and Carved Jade. This one is definitely from Japan as the remains of a paper label with the word 'Japan' on it is inside. The reverse side also shows working marks in the form of concentric circles to the plastic, a feature that indicates hand cutting that serious early plastic collectors look out for. This vintage bracelet is in excellent condition and fasteners with a bolt ring type clasp.
