SOLD Art Deco Blue Crystal Necklace - Faceted Crystal Drops
This lovely vintage necklace is from the Art Deco period which covers the styles popular between 1915 and 1935. This necklace is in white metal and blue cut glass crystal. It consists of 9 beautiful blue dropper jewels on a neat chain with a bolt ring clasp. It has the timeless modern appeal that makes original Art Deco jewellery so sought after today. A feature of this lovely blue art deco necklace is the use of solid rectangular panels of chromed metal to set off the drops. The necklet is approximately 15.5 inches in length and each blue crystal drop is just over half an inch long. It is quite hard to catch the colour of a lovely vintage necklace like this as the light reflects in different ways. I think the truest colour is that of the drops in image 2. The fringed necklace is in good condition and only shows signs of its age on the chain where some of the chrome plating has worn. This in no way detracts from the beauty or wearability of this super art deco piece of jewelry.
