Antique Bohemian Filigree Dress Clip with Flower Detail and Coloured Jewels

Here we have a most wearable Dress Clip with a little flower detail. A lovely multi-jewelled dress clip from the 1920s to 1930s era set with lots of bright twinkly glass gems.   Dotted around this nice antique dress clip are thirty one circular claw set stones or pastes. The claw set jewels vary in size. There’s a rainbow and more here as there are jewels in golden yellow, various shades of blues and greens, bright red, purple and pink in this Art Deco Era Dress Clip.  This golden clip is made of a pressed filigree in pale golden Tombec brass metal and it has a nice patina enhancing it. There is evidence of silvering of the metal front so this antique beauty might well have started out with a silvered-effect front. The filigree work is open, with a lattice lace work effect decoration. It has a floral theme as there is a distinct small flower with a blue jewelled middle on it and the central coloured jewelled part to the curved top resembles a flower in its design. The back of the clip has a good strong brass metal colour to it.  Jewelry of this kind, with machine-pressed filigree hand-set with glass jewels, often came from old Bohemia the region of modern Czechoslovakia. This vintage dress clip is a decent size as it measures three centimetres at its widest part  by five and a half centimetres long. It fastens with a tight snapping clip with three little 'teeth' which ensure it stays in place. It is offered in good order.  Wear your dress clip on a hat band, neckline , in the buttonhole or on a lapel. This is ideal for your vintage wardrobe or your antique jewellery collection.
