A Miniature Canada Souvenir Pin - Silver and Enamel Maple Leaf - Yellow Middle
Autumnal colours have been used on this sweet, small Maple leaf brooch. Measuring just 15 mm by 18 mm this tiny vintage silver brooch is the perfect miniature leaf. It could be Canadian as the Maple Leaf is a traditional Canadian symbol. It is marked with the word 'Sterling' to show it is real silver and has a Maker's Mark - BM Co also. The enamel is in shades of rust brown, yellow and green. The silver has been used to make veins between the enamel colours to make the leaf pin look most natural. This pin is in very good condition with just the blackening to the silver that years of handling can bring. This would be simply to clean with a silver cloth if you wanted this item to really shine like new. The leaf brooch fastens with a secure 'roll over' type fastener. This vintage silver brooch would make a great gift or would be a really nice addition to a collection of vintage brooches, pins and badges. I purchased two of these little pins at the same time. Whilst they are the same size and have the same hallmark strikes on the back the enamel colours are distinctly different. This is the one with the YELLOW middle.
