1970s Space age Rivoli Jewelled Cufflinks - BLING! (SOLD)
Here we have superb Space age vintage cufflinks in gilt metal with Austrian crystal jewels. These rectangular links are set with one facet cut Rivoli crystal in each cuff link. The secret to the 'Rivoli' cut is that the pointed surface of the jewel is on display and the many facets reflect so much light! The jewels in these vintage cufflinks are in the colour known as 'watermelon'. This has many colours in the one glass crystal including vibrant tones of mauve, deep pink, green and yellow which change as the jewel moves and refects light. The links are marked 'Gilt' and have a Patent number 1444883 which I suspect is a USA Patent number for the type of bar cufflink mechanism used. The gilt metal has two different bark
effect finishes and these vintage links are sure to get you noticed! They are in excellent condition and measure 1.5 cms by 1 cm on the decorative rectangle.
