1970's Mother of Pearl and Goldtone Cufflinks & Matching Tie Pin by Stratton (SOLD)
For anyone who like to dress in a Retro style these Cufflinks would really add at touch of 1970's to your outfit. This pair of Stratton cufflinks with matching tie pin are mint and come to you in their original Stratton box. Stratton were one of the main accessory manufacturers in Britain selling lines like ladies compacts, lipstick holders, handbag mirrors and other small costume accessories. For gentlemen they made a wide range of cufflinks and tiepins and tieclips, many of the Stratton items were quirky but they also catered for a more conservative taste. The company is still in business but their goods are now manufacturered overseas. This cufflink set was made in England (it says so on the box!). The cufflinks and tie pin are extremely smart with a gold tone rectangular shape. Each piece is set with a panel of natural shell mother of pearl which is bright white and has hues of grey and a very slight hint of pink. Through the shell panel there are two parallel lines of goldtone inlay. The cufflinks have a folding mechanism on the shank at the back and the tie pin has a spike fixing with a retainer and a button hole bar to ensure it stays put!
