1970's White and Pastel Tone Beaded Bag by 'Le Soir' (sold)

In mint condition,with its original swing tag label, this great vintage bag dates from the 1970s.  The bag is completed covered with tiny white pearlised seed beads and white pearlised bugle beads on both sides.  There is a geometric pattern of diamond shaped rectangles and to the centre there are smaller diamond shapes picked out in pastel pink, yellow and blue coloured bugle and seed beads.  There is a different design on each side of the bag so you can vary how you use it.  The handle is also heavily beaded  and attaches to a goldtone frame.  The handbag frame is enhanced by a wavy pattern of little gold daisies across the top and it fastens with a 'kissing' type clasp. The lining of this lovely vintage handbag is white satin and there is a little pocket inside which could hold a mirror.  Part of the original label is inside with the brand name on it 'Le Soir'.  It is highly likely that this bag was made in Hong Kong where there were highly skilled workers capable of producing  this kind of hand worked beading.  This vintage purse measures 5.5 inches by 7.5 inches making it perfect to hold all the items a bride might need on her wedding day!
