1960s Large Blue Jewelled Brooch Pin
This is a fabulous predominately pale blue brooch dating to the 1960s. It is abstract flowers and leaves in its design and has lots of facet cut glass crystal jewels set into it. The largest jewels, of which there are 15, are marquise shaped open-set to indicate leaves. Then there are three circular brilliant blue jewels each surrounded by 10 small white diamante to look like small daisy type flowers. The remaining jewels are all pale blue circular cut stones of varying sizes making up the stems and surrounds. All of the jewels have been expertly claw set into this lovely brooch. The brooch is white metal and in pristine order. It measures 7cms by 7cms at its widest points and is pictured with a £1 coin so you can get an idea of its good size. This vintage brooch would be great at the "something blue" for a Bride. It would sit well on all kinds of outfits and would be at home in a collection of 1960s costume jewellery and brooches. It is not designer signed on the jewel itself but the quality of it leads me to believe it is most likely a designer brooch.
