1960's Fuschia Flower Brooch and Earrings signed Exquisite
With realistic green leaves and muted purple and pink colours and attention to detail this vintage 1960's Fuschia brooch set is a sure winner. Vintage floral brooches are always very sought after and the signed Exquisite flower pins and other jewellery seem to have a real interest for serious collectors.This is a cold enamel Fuschia pin in the smaller sized version with matching earclips by Exquisite Jewellery Ltd., of Solihull, Warwickshire, England. It was one of their range of Birthday Flower Jewellery introduced and extremely popular during the 1960's. The pins came in two sizes with a flower for every month of the year! The Company also had a range of Leaf brooches and matching earrings. The Fuschia is the flower for July . The set has the classic Exquisite silvery gold tone finish with the back on the brooch appearing a strong gold tone. To the front on the clip on earrings the branches and stems are more silvery and the brooch with its classic bow motif is a bit more golden but when worn together the brooch and earrings are delightful and look a great match. I have no doubt they have been together a long time. This 1960's Birthday Series set is so sweet. Because these pieces were hand finished, you get marked variations in the colours. So we have some soft pastel colour and deeper colours with the pale green leaves and the pink and mauve on the flowers themselves and sweet little yellow stamens hanging from the open fuschias. The set is in very good vintage condition. The brooch is just ready to be pinned onto your lapel to add a touch of colour and the clip on earrings to decorate your ear lobes. What a great gift for anyone who has a July Birthday or loves all things floral when choosing their vintage jewellery. Approximate measurements for the brooch are 5.5cms by 3.5cms and 2.5cms by 1.5cms for the earrings. This brooch fastens with a rollover type clasp and is unsigned; the earrings are signed Exquisite and snap with a good ear clip.
