1960's Cold Enamel Fuschia Brooch with Marcasite Stones signed Exquisite(SOLD)

This cold enamel Fuchsia pin  has the added bonus of being set with real marcasites on the stamen of the two flower heads and in the centre of the trefoil leaf.  It is a rarer piece by Exquisite Jewellery Ltd., of Solihull, Warwickshire, England.  It was one of their range of Birthday Flower Brooches introduced and extremely popular during the 1960's.  These pins came in two sizes with a flower for every month of the year!  This is the smaller sized one!  The Company also had a range of Leaf pins and matching earrings, as well as many other lines in quality costume jewellery. The Fuschia Brooch is the pin for July .  It has a silver tone finish and is marked with the words 'Exquisite' and 'REGD'. Because these pieces were hand painted, you get marked variations in the colours.  This one has softer colours with light Green Leaves and bright pink and mauve on the flowers themselves. It is in excellent vintage condition.  What a great gift for anyone who has a July Birthday or just because you like it! Approximate measurements are 2ins by1.5ins.  This item fastens with a rollover type clasp.
